  • STEP 3 – Demolition and removal of VRC flooring in sections
  • STEP 4 – Shot blast and/or diamond grind existing foundation
  • STEP 5 – Apply new polished concrete

Challenges
Relocating the aisles required moves in the evenings hours and returning the aisles to original positions prior to opening for customers.

Black Bear Solution
Black Bear tested the remaining concrete to value engineer two options – a hybrid epoxy and a polished concrete floor. Polished concrete was selected because it was more cost-effective and would provide the slip-resistance and long-term results they were looking for.
